Celebrate the Day With Quilts

Creating Children's Artwork Quilts was my first book. It shares my journey from early on when my children would paint or draw right onto fabric for me and I would create simple quilts with these pieces to later when my girls no longer wanted to "play" this game any more and I was still inspired by their artwork. I started recreating their pieces as closely as I could to the original artwork. Over time I began using their artwork as a source of inspiration for quilts, often enlarging them or combining multiple pieces of artwork and writing into single art quilts. To this day I am still enamored with young children's artwork because of it's whimsical, folk art qualities! The book also cover the tools and techniques I have used over the years.
